Dr. Elizabeth Pritchett
has been serving the Longview animal community since 2018. Graduating from the University of Lafayette in 2009 with her undergraduate degree in Animal Science, she worked as a vet tech for several years before deciding to go back to graduate school. Juggling marriage, three kids and an hour long commute every day, she attended Louisiana State University’s veterinarian school, where she graduated in 2015.
Dr. Pritchett worked at Towne South Animal Hospital in Shreveport for several years before the opportunity to purchase Animal Health & Hospital (formerly Glaze Veterinary Clinic) in Longview arose in 2017.
She has since made a name for herself, treating exotic animals alongside traditional domestic pets, and by helping local beekeepers tend to the health of their hives.
A more recent passion of Dr. Pritchett’s is the non-profit she created, Vets Helping Vets.
Through her work, she is helping to reduce the stigma that both Veterinarians and Veterans face. Both groups have unusually high rates of mental health issues, depression and suicide. Through Dr. Pritchett’s organization, a fund has been created that allows Veterans to receive help paying for emergency care for their pets, which are often emotional support animals. Equally important, though, Dr. Pritchett has brought awareness to the plight of both groups and has opened up a dialogue that will hopefully help remove the shame many feel in needing mental health support.

Dr. Katelyn Bordelon
Dr. Katelyn Bordelon has been an East Texas resident since 2021. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Louisiana Tech University the Fall of 2016. In 2017, Dr. Bordelon and her husband traveled over 2,000 miles to St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, to pursue and earn a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
In 2021, Dr. Bordelon graduated from vet school and planted her roots in East Texas. She was an associate veterinarian at East Texas Pet Emergency in Longview for almost two years. In that time, Dr. Bordelon gained invaluable emergency and critical care experience and developed a strong interest in compassionate end-of-life care. Now a part of our team, Dr. Bordelon is excited and eager to care for the pets of the East Texas area alongside Dr. Pritchett.
